On May 4, 2026, members of the IBSP (Integrative Biology of Storage Polysaccharides) team took part in the launch seminar for the Biomass Polysaccharides (BiP) research axis of the UGSF (Structural and Functional Glycobiology Unit, CNRS UMR 8576, Université de Lille). This day of scientific discussions and collaborative workshops helped define the main directions of the axis around the biosynthesis, structural organization, dynamics, and multi-scale modelling of polysaccharides.

The discussions highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary approaches combining biology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, and modelling to better understand the formation and properties of polysaccharides. This seminar also represented a first step towards the development of new inter-team collaborative projects within the unit.
