On October 23, 2025, Camille Locquet defended her doctoral thesis at the University of Lille, entitled:
“Characterization of LESV and ESV1, two proteins involved in the initiation of starch granule in potato tubers (Solanum tuberosum)”.
This thesis, supervised by Fabrice Wattebled and co-supervised by Nicolas Szydlowski (IBSP team, UGSF – CNRS / University of Lille) and Pierre Devaux (Florimond Desprez Veuve & Fils), was part of a CIFRE partnership combining academic research and varietal innovation.
Her work focused on the characterization of LESV and ESV1 proteins involved in the initiation of starch granules in potatoes, combining biochemical, genetic, and molecular biology approaches.
The jury, chaired by Ikram El Yazidi-Belkoura and composed of Gabrielle Potocki-Veronese, Jérôme Pelloux, Cécile Raynaud, and David Seung, commended the clarity of the presentation, the scientific rigor, and the quality of the work accomplished.
