Stanislas Helle
Postdoctoral Researcher
Pea mutants, starch metabolism, biochemistry, pharmaceutical industry
Stanislas Helle is a postdoctoral researcher within the IBSP team, where he conducts research on starch metabolism in peas (Pisum sativum).
He works more specifically on the generation and characterization of mutants targeting key proteins involved in starch biosynthesis.
A specialist in advanced biochemical approaches, he utilizes analytical tools such as liquid chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, and mass spectrometry, applied at the microscopic scale. Holder of a CIFRE thesis carried out in partnership with the seed company Florimond-Desprez, Stanislas has developed a strong understanding of the research-industry link.
He then pursued a postdoctoral position focused on optimizing monoclonal antibody production processes, in collaboration with major international pharmaceutical groups (Pfizer, Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson, BMS, MSD). Self-taught in bioinformatics, he also contributes to the team’s multi-omics analyses by designing innovative Python scripts that facilitate the interpretation of complex data.
His cross-disciplinary profile makes him an asset for projects combining fundamental research and industrial applications.
