Anne Créach

Associate Professor

Plant physiology, biophysics, plant and algae acclimatization, cell walls

Recruited to the University of Lille in 1995, Anne Créach specializes in the adaptation mechanisms of terrestrial plants and algae to environmental variations.

After completing a PhD at the University of Bordeaux II (1994) on membrane biogenesis and a postdoctoral fellowship at INRA Versailles in plant breeding, she directed her research towards the study of plant primary production, utilizing coupled approaches in biochemistry, physiology, and biophysics.

More recently, she specialized in the dynamics of cell walls in model plants such as fiber plants or green microalgae, by characterizing the enzymes involved in cell wall biosynthesis or degradation.

Since 2025, she has joined the IBSP team and participates in research on photosymbiosis in the Roscoff worm (Symsagittifera roscoffensis) and the microalga Tetraselmis, as part of the ANR ‘Animalgue’ project. She teaches plant biology, physiology, and ecophysiology from L1 to M2, and has held several teaching positions, including the directorship of studies for the ‘Biology of Organisms’ Bachelor’s degree and the ECOREMID track of the BEE Master’s program.
