{"id":698,"date":"2025-10-09T10:59:43","date_gmt":"2025-10-09T08:59:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/glycobiology-ibsp.org\/2025\/cnrs-festival-october-9-11-2025\/"},"modified":"2025-11-14T12:51:38","modified_gmt":"2025-11-14T11:51:38","slug":"cnrs-festival-october-9-11-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/glycobiology-ibsp.org\/en\/2025\/cnrs-festival-october-9-11-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"CNRS Festival &#8211; October 9-11, 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From <strong>October 9 to 11, 2025<\/strong>, the <strong>CNRS Festival<\/strong> was held at the <strong>Lewarde Historical Mining Center<\/strong> on the theme <em>&#8220;Intelligence(s)&#8221;<\/em>.<br \/>\nThe <strong>IBSP<\/strong> team (UGSF, University of Lille \u2013 CNRS) actively participated through the workshop <strong>&#8220;Small Grains, Big Ideas: Discovering Starch&#8221;<\/strong>, organized in collaboration with the <strong>PLBS<\/strong> and <strong>MSAP<\/strong> platforms.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-353 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/glycobiology-ibsp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/festical-du-cnrs2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1827\" height=\"1370\" srcset=\"https:\/\/glycobiology-ibsp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/festical-du-cnrs2.jpg 1827w, https:\/\/glycobiology-ibsp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/festical-du-cnrs2-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/glycobiology-ibsp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/festical-du-cnrs2-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/glycobiology-ibsp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/festical-du-cnrs2-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/glycobiology-ibsp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/festical-du-cnrs2-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/glycobiology-ibsp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/festical-du-cnrs2-1200x900.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1827px) 100vw, 1827px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At the stand, <strong>Stanislas Helle<\/strong> and <strong>Nicolas Szydlowski<\/strong> (IBSP) led demonstrations alongside <strong>Correntin Spriet<\/strong> (PLBS), <strong>Xavier Roussel<\/strong>, and <strong>Isabelle Fabrizi<\/strong> (MSAP). Both young and old were able to extract starch from potatoes, observe it under a microscope, stain it with iodine, and even produce a bioplastic from this natural molecule.<\/p>\n<p>This scientific outreach initiative is a continuation of the <strong>ANR PRC <\/strong><em>SinGraMics \u2013 Single Granule oMics to support starch synthetic biochemistry<\/em> and <strong>ANR SAPS CSTI 2022 <\/strong><em>ADRESS22<\/em><strong> (CNRS Hauts-de-France)<\/strong> projects, which support the dissemination of scientific culture around storage polysaccharides and their applications in food, energy, and biosourced materials.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From October 9 to 11, 2025, the CNRS Festival was held at the Lewarde Historical Mining Center on the theme &#8220;Intelligence(s)&#8221;.
